The machine I'm using right now has a side bobbin I got a "Bobbin Bingo" a couple days ago, there was 2 wraps of thread on the bobbin..CLOSE!

This happened to me TWICE today and both times I was which had to be pinned. Well of course, I unpinned as I was sewing and had to go back and repin. I'll try and think bobbin bingo to keep my sense of humor.

I love your nickname for it! Of course with my memory, I'll probably just remember the "bingo" part! Oh, and I have 2 Brother machines that have the low-bobbin reminder, but right now I'm using a Brother machine that doesn't have that feature. I love my Brother machines!

I have a low bobbin light. Frequently it warns me when I have quite a bit of thread left. Knowing this, I keep going and almost always eventually forget to keep an eye on the bottom thread...and of course, get burned by it. It's okay, because it's either that or have half a zillion almost finished bobbins around that I can't bring myself to throw away....

Good on you that the bobbin faeries were looking after you ;-).

my Janome tells you way ahead of time, low bobbin, you can plan ahead where to stop. love that feature.
