I have been trying for months to make a quilt for my DGD. No pattern making it up as I go (It's evolving). All I could hear in my head is Tim Gunn saying "make it work" Anyway, I had this bright idea to paper piece her name and date of birth as part of the quilt. I swear before the "quilt god" above that I have taken each seam that I sewed apart at least twice. I started this morning and I now have 3 letters and 1 number completed only have 25 more to go. I'm about to shorten that baby's name. Thanks for letting me vent, I must return to my machine, I just might get another letter done before the sun comes up.

I am dying to know what her name is. I hope she was not born in a long month too. Have you thought about embroidery? Good luck I can't wait to see your accomplishment.

Her name is Zaria McKenzie Williams born: 12-12-2010. I wouldn't dream of putting the date of birth in letters.

I tried this to make a quilted banner/wallhanging with the name of our business for our LA quilting studio. I even had access to Electric Quilt Software. It still took me 3 attempts at designing & piecing to figure it out. Now all I need is to finish quilting it. I think you are very talented and have great perseverance to figure it out on your own.
