Default I spy quilt?

I was wondering if I could use the same fabric more them once in a quilt?

I found some I spy fabric in my stash form a long time ago when I made these kind of quilts for my grandkids, who are all grown up now.

I make quilts for displaced children and thought this would be a good quilt for them to have, as they can play the game and maybe get there mind off there problems for a little while.

I cut all I had into 4.5 squares as this used the fabric the best way to get the most out of it.
I just didn't know if it would look ok to use the same fabeic a few times in one quilt, I will be sewing the blocks side by side..nothing fancy, then I will put a border around it and quilt it.

What are your thought on this.. Thanks

Oh I would think so. Kids can have fun finding how many of the items there are too!

There are many ways you coukd make I Spy quilts. I usually have one of each block, but you do a match game with two of a kind . Or a counting game (1 Sponge bob, 2 lizards, 3 monkeys , etc).

I’m sure the children who receive your quilts won’t mind in the least.

I like to make mine 40x50. Makes a good size quilt that kids don't outgrow quickly. Ask me how I know. Made my grandson's too small and had to enlarge it when he turned 4. He's 8 and still uses it!

I like to sometimes make an I Spy match quilt. I use 2 of each fabric and scatter them so it is fun for the child to find the matches.
