batting and backing.....there may be minimums on notions.
bolts of other fabric only if you use a lot of it.
But will always use batting and fabric for backing. Wide backing is about 5-6$ per yd wholesale at some places.

at wholesale with no shipping i would definitly buy a bolt of batting- since i seem to constantly be out---
if i were going to stock up on any fabrics i would probably choose 108" or wider backing fabrics
if tools were what i wanted i'd stock up on rotory blades- since they are so dog-gone expensive....
but if i had to stick to $200 or less- i'd definitly go with the batting.
but i suppose that would depend on how much actual quilting you do- since i'm quilting 5-10 quilts a week i always need batting.

Backings , and blenders! You can always use a good blender for a backing if you have enough and don't mind a seam. So I would be inclined to get a bolt of a great blender neutral. But if you have a really large stash of projects like the next ten years ... think of the supplies to you will need to complete.
As for batting ... a 50 percent off coupon can get you pretty far.... so I would go for the stuff that never on sale at cost ... when was the lat time you saw an ad for 50 percent of or more of fabric.... the good stuff?

Hmm...some of all the above suggestions...and, you didn't say if this was part of the "wish"...but I would get a HQ sixteen stitch regulated quilting machine and pro frame package...I'm thinking if I am dreaming, I will dream big...but not so big it would be out of reach...have fun with whatever you decide to get...

I'd like to build a large craft room on to my home. And furnish it with sturdy, practical furnishings. Then I might have room for all my 'stuff.'

I would buy batting & fabric- solids, blenders & a few great looking prints.

If you do any embroidering I would definitely spend it on thread and stabilizers.
