It's very striking- could it be that these are not your favorite or even top 5 or 10 fave color combinations? Personally Im not a brown person, okay in touches just not major amounts. My niece requested turquoise, brown and cream for her gift quilt. Fortunately her Mom (my sis) was able to help me with fabric selection, but I was glad to finish that quilt. She loves it, but I was concerned the whole time and realized the quilt just wasn't speaking to me at all. Your best bud will love it!

I like it! This will be fun to quilt almost anything on it when it's finished.

I think it looks great. Sometimes when I am working on a quilt, I too have doubt; but once it is quilted, bound and finished it becomes one of my favorites. Persevere!

You selected a great pattern for someone new to quilting. I have made a lot of quilt for charity with this pattern. The colors may be a little bold for you taste, but they do all coordinate. Your hesitation may be due to so many bold prints and not enough lighter colors but that is just a matter of individual taste. I do charity quilts for kids and it is what I would chose.

Im still new to quilting so I was worried my fabric choice wasn't good with the pattern I picked.
Your being hard on it. She will love it.

Thank you all for the advise and support!!

I think I'm going to continue on it as planned and see what happens. Figured I've already cut everything and started piecing it... it would be a shame to rip it all out and scrap it.

If when all is said and done I don't think it'll be a good one for my BFF for Christmas, I still have plenty of time to try again
