Both look good. Each changes the look of the quilt. Hard decision!! I think I would choose the orange, brighter and fun!

While both are nice, I think the orange is the better choice for a kids quilt. Makes the quilt more "fun".

I would use the blue (dark) as a flange with the border you show. I think the width of the blue inner border you show in the first picture is 'too much'. I would also like the orange as a flange; but, not as an inner border.

Well, I vote for the blue. I think it adds dignity and does not detract from the rest of the cute quilt.

I think the orange makes it more interesting - either narrow border or flange.
