I am always losig things. Christmas things I buy ahead of time especially. My girls are always asking " Mom do you have anything else that goes under the Christmas tree?" HA HA

I think it's probably with all those lost socks. You know, when put a pair in the wash and only one comes out.

I keep thinking it is somewhere that it can see me and laughing histerically as I search.
    You're probably right.

Been there, done that. Went on vacation once, and for some
reason decided that burglars were waiting with baited breath
just to steal my new set of table silver. So I hid it, then went
on vacation and had a swell time. Came home and it took me
two darn years to find that set. Turns out I had stuffed them,
one by one, deep inside the crevices of my over stuffed sofa!!

But the burglars never found them!! And now I have that
spare set we had to buy to use till the others were found.

Another time I had rolled some jewelry inside towels and put
them deep in the linen cabinet..felt strange to open them to
hang them and out dropped the stuff I'd accused the kids of
    losing.

When I can't find something I find if I quick for a while and go back it usually turns up. Frequently in one of the places I had already looked. :)

With all the ideas everyone is giving me I'll have to go home and start my search all over again. :)

Been there done that, as a matter of fact, at this moment, I have a whole order of fabric from Fabric.com that I cannot find. So don't feel bad.

Haven't lost material yet but did lose an 24 x 24 ironing surface. A friend made me two of them but I was only using one on my kitchen/dining room divider counter. Wanted to iron a quilt so I wanted the both of them to make a 24 x 48 ironing surface. Looked in every closet and sewing area (scattered in the condo) and could not find it. Looked for 2 days. Ended up just using the one on my counter. Went to a quilt meeting and when I got home I decided to sew (machine on my dining table) a few cats (lots of pieces). Well guess what I found - the other 24x24 surace, sitting in open view on my dining table, but mostly covered with the pieces of fabric for the cats. Had a good laugh at how blind I was!
