I too really like the DWR quilt idea. I think in rainbow colors with a soft blue background or pale yellow would be really beautiful and make a traditional quilt not so traditional with a colored background.

That's really sweet of you to make a quilt, I think a braid or around the world like the others mentioned are nice. Black with bright colors always looks pretty to me. Can't wait to see how it looks when it's done!

Well I think we have some good ideas going on here...But I am not sure that you have to make a specific pattern....What about a sampler quilt with many different blocks....and just use the colors of the rainbow?? There are several ways to do that....and with a sampler quilt you could make blocks that may have meaning that pertain to the couple.

Just my opinion....I can't wait to see the photos.

What about flying geese, with a neutral, going across in the rainbow? Like the fourth one along here at the top?
