I will begin my quilting weekend here shortly. I just work up; however, I was up till 2:30am prepping for things I wanted to work on today, so I don't feel too bad about sleeping in. Looking forward to the virtual weekend. Now I am wondering if I can get DH to cook today, that way I would definitely feel like I am at quilt camp

I'll try to join you, although I just cut out 2 dresses for our DGD that I'm making for her 4th birthday later this month. Have to keep our girlie girl in dresses, and she's so darn cute in them. If these two go well, I'll start on her princess dress in lavender satin with lavender tulle overskirt, as she loves all the Disney princesses. I haven't made any clothes for a while, but I'm sure I'll remember how.

My husband is doing fine after his surgery (wisdom teeth). Man, I was in terrible pain for several days afterwards and had two dry sockets. So after lunch, I will be cleaning up my sewing room, hopefully find the blocks so I can sew them together. Then I need to prep some blocks for my Tuesday afternoon quilting group. They need squaring and more plain ones need to be cut. So I will check back in with y'all later.

So glad to see all of you quilting with me this weekend
No, not Connecting Threads. Some name I had never heard of before. I will have to see if I wrote it down. I've been keeping a journal lately on quilts I want to make and suppliers.

Here's where I'm at with my EPP.

I haven't done any sewing today - the weather is beautiful today so I went to the allotment instead. I'm hoping I can add to it tomorrow.

    Littlebearquiltingboard, that is gorgeous!

I'm actually working from a hotel room today in Allentown, PA. We have a trade show to attend this weekend, but I managed to convince my husband to let me beg off today and just sit and sew.

I've brought a few projects I prepped Thursday. Right now, I'm using a peacock batik and black terry cloth to make 12 reusable "paper towels" for part of my cousin's wedding gift (July wedding) out of 12.5" squares. I have 12 cocktail napkins to make from the same batik. But I left the table topper portion of the gift at home. I'm working on a small double wedding ring piece with coordinating fabrics.

I also brought 4 child sized adjustable aprons that I'm making for my daughter's class to use. I'm using a thicker canvas fabric from Ikea for it that I got on clearance. It's the same as what's posted here: http://teachlovecraft.com/wp-content...keaFabric2.jpg

And I have another uniform dress to finish for my daughter. She's just about out of her current size, so I should really get my but in gear on that one.

Ohhh I am joining this time.

I have been working on cleaning my table so that I can
get back to cutting & sewing ALL the aprons that I need
to have finished by next weekend.

I have 8-12 full size aprons & 8-15 half aprons that I need
to get busy with. I have the "length" of the aprons cut, just
need to do the "final" cutting before I can sew them.

Essentially I am working on the production style, but I SHOULD
probably work on completing each apron this way I can be sure
to have at least some of the ready LOL.

I will post pictures when I can.

I know that no one wants to hear about my procrastination on the AirForce chevron quilt again, but I will justify by saying that in the last ten days I've finished 9 doz. +3 baptismal bibs for our church. I think I'll enjoy reading about all that you industrious people are doing this weekend. Happy sewing!

Wow, there are some industrious people on here! I got the 2 sets of blocks ready for Tuesday and I found the blocks I was missing for Monday. I'll probably sew them tomorrow as the cat took my sewing chair. I'm cutting denim squares for another quilt now.

Littlebear, that is really nice. What is "EPP"?

I've started the blocks for the quilt some of the QBers helped me with (http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...n-t246011.html). However, my final design is a bit different from what I had in that thread -- I'll surprise everyone when I'm finished! I do plan to use the yellow, however! I will post some pics .... if NASCAR races and installation of a new A/C leave me time for sewing, that is!
