I was working on finishing a double 4 patch quilt. Just finished the binding today.

I will post a photo of the finished quilt tomorrow after I take another photo in the daylight.
This was made from a jellyroll and pack of fat quarters so I did not prewash the fabric. I soaked a scrap of the darkest fabric in some water and lots of color came out so I think I will need to get some color catchers before I give it a wash.

I'm plugging along on my quilt. The center has 99 blocks - i have 1 block to quilt before i can start quilting the remaing half of borders. this has been an 18 month project and I'm looking forward to giving it to my friend in july when i see her.

Becca your quilt is beautiful! I love the borders. what is the name of the pattern? It reminds me of 4 leaf clovers.

Thank you! The pattern of the main field came from a Fons and Porter quilt Indigo Star that i saw on their show a few years back. Their quilt was done in navy blue - therefore the Indigo. That name doesn't work for green...LOL!! I know the 8-pointed star block has a name, but i don't know what it is right now.

The green & cream border came from part of a log-cabin quilt I saw in a book.

I only finished one of my 4 projects, but I'm happy to say I actually finished something! I probably should have done the one that was most important. However, I decided to do the one that would be the most messy with all those little bits of black fluff that get everywhere. At least in a hotel room you're limited to a smaller space to clean, because they travel and seem to multiply. Those little black bits of fluff must be related to bunny rabbits.

I've just got the rest of my first bargello pieced together, it's not big, but I'm so pleased with it! Looking forward to getting it sandwiched and quilted now!
