I'm working on a quilt for my great niece, Harper. I finished it yesterday, now I just need to add a label and wash it. I was going to add a black ruffle around it but it was hard for my machine to go over all the layers for the binding and didn't think it would handle the ruffle well. I hope it looks OK without it. The pattern had the ruffle as optional anyway. So glad this is finished, the material was a mess to work with! I had to piece the backing and it is a little wonky
It is soooo soft, my cats loved it. I think I may have to make a little bed for them out of the material, but not the little pillow puffs!

Here's what I've been working on. The lighthouse squares were squared, some really needed it! The big blocks had to be squared and then cut into two pieces. I cut lots of 5" squares from old blue jeans. And the four blocks are the ones for our meeting tomorrow night. Now I'm making some four-patches.
Glad to see what everyone is working on. And it's great to have company. I haven't done much quilting in a few weeks so this is getting me moving again.

I was hoping to join you guys this weekend but it looks like DH has different plans for me today. Maybe if i fix him a snack and find a football game or golf tournament on t.v. I'll be able to get a couple of hours in.
I might have better luck finding a basketball game.

117becca, judy5cent, sisty88 and craftnut.....just want to say WOW to all of you.
Raggiemom...i have a great lighthouse panel that i have had for several years - bought it to make my brother a quilt when he was into lighthouses....but he got "out" of them before i got it made. PM me if you'd like to see it - would be glad to send to you.
Got the little book tied with embroidery floss - had to use needlenose pliers to pull the needle through.
On now to the Wickedly Easy Quilt that i cut the units for a couple of weeks ago.
Hope everyone's having fun...keep the pictures coming !!!
