I wish there was a "love" button we could click. I would <3 this sentiment.

I have no idea where it was other than it was in the purse the entire time.
My thinking is that one of your "questionable employees" gave themselves a $240.00 loan for 3 days.....

My experience isn't with something lost, it's with something found. I made a pineapple quilt out of civil war reproduction fabrics, which was way out of my comfort zone. About 2 years after I finished the quilt, I walked outside and there was a scrap of fabric from that quilt laying on the pathway from the front door to the driveway. I just stood and stared at it for about 5-7 minutes, wondering how in the world.....

When you least expect it, you will find it. Glad you could make another block to replace the "lost" one. Gorgeous quilt.

My funny lost story: I wear very expensive Rx glasses (bifocals with dual prisms). I cannot see without them and cannot drive without my glasses. I have both clear lenses and sunglass lenses. One day I just couldn't find my sunglasses. I knew I had them when I drove home from the grocery store, because I was wearing them. Long story short, about 2 weeks later, I went to take something out of my deep freeze and lo and behold, my sunglasses were in with the frozen veggies! Now, whenever I can't find something, I always check my fridge and deep freeze.
