JoAnn Fabrics???
#45
I live in Dallas TX and the store I go to had lots and lots of Christmas fabric. They just remodled the store, they had a 2nd floor which I loved, that's where the fabric was and they closed all that off and brought everything downstairs. I asked why they were doing that & they said so it would look more like the other stores. I'll have to ask my friend that works there to see if she has any info.

Take a look at their investments! All high end, as far as my wallet is concerned! Wonder what this will bring to Joann's... I might as well be buying at quilt stores for the same price as much of Joann's fabric is now.
Happy New Year!

Those fabrics are out as of yesterday.

When I went to JoAnn's yesterday, both of the cutters that helped me did not even know about the buyout. I told them and they were in shock. Then a manager walked up and she said OH, it is posted on the wall back there. They did not even have a meeting to tell their employee's. Sad

Until recently I was employeed at Joanns and I can tell you that the stores don't have any choice in what they get. All items were shipped from headquarters. Of course they do handle special orders but not the stock that is on the floor. Seems like here in S Fl we didn't get much Christmas fabric at all. Guess they feel that people in Florida are all retired and don't do any thing.!!!!! How wrong can they be? Maybe the takeover will be a good thing.
