Default Just bought a Pfaff 2144 upgraded to 2170

Hi everyone, I am new, just signed up today. I recently started quilting again after 30 years! I also just obtained a Pfaff 2144 that has been upgraded to 2170. Any ideas on any good starter projects to get me used to the machine?

Looking forward to using this machine and being a part of this message board.
Thanks! Bobbie Jean

I had a 2144 upgraded to a 2170 for 10 years. I loved it. There are videos on you tube that can help you get started. Don't let it frustrate you because once you get the hang of it, you will be making anything you want to make. I have had a Pfaff machine for about 25 years now. you won't go wrong with Pfaff. If you run into questions, PM me and I will help if I can.

Hi BobbieJean18- I hope you enjoy your new Pfaff and I am sure will find plenty of inspiration on this board! I am a Pfaff owner, also. Got my first one when I started quilting about 10 years ago. A 2134, I think. It's downstairs and I don't want to go look Bought a QE 4.2 a couple years ago for the larger throat space and good lighting in the arm. I like them both. I don't have any specific projects to recommend for you but I'm sure others will have some good ideas for you. Have fun!

Welcome to this wonderful board. I do have one question. How did you stay away from quilting for such a long time? Personally I have been obsessed since I made my first quilt 17 years ago! Lol
