I was going to suggest since you are keeping the original quilt/pattern/design, just use it. Leave it in the room with you when you work and use it as your reference.Originally Posted by ManiacQuilter2
Dina, WHEN are YOU going to qualify yourself as an expert?? All you really need is the width of the strip set cut and the number of the fabric on top. Should be rather easy since you have the quilt to refer to as reference. That is what I did when I did two of Eileen Wright quilts that had mirror image down the center. I just look at the opposite row. I think the final top came out superb!

I didn't use a pattern. Originally Posted by Fabaddict

But I have made myself a sort of chart and after I get the current quilt top quilted, I will start the second one. It will go quicker than the first, because I am not trying to figure out what I want the quilt to look like.Dina

I agree with Judy...think your quilt is beautiful!Originally Posted by JudyTheSewer
I have no answer to your question but I want to say that I really like your quilt. Bargello's aren't even my thing but I like the earth tones a lot. Very nice job!

I want to do a big B quilt. I have been making quilts for a hundred years! lol well I am 81 and have been piecing and etc since I was a teenager. So you do the numbers. I have never tried to do a bargello. I have several books and keep looking. Also my stash resembles a fabric store. So what is my problem.? The quilt police? lol
