Is it just me?

I make a point of not sewing every day...it would become too much like a job. I want to enjoy quilting for as long as possible, Am somewhat 'Type A' personality when doing things I enjoy, and, over the years have discovered that obsessively doing anything quickly takes the fun out of whatever I am doing.

I am a homebody, but I don't sew everyday either. I would be afraid of burning out, if I did, so I quilt when I feel like it, & for as long as I feel like. Might be an hour or so, or several hours, just depends. I also hurt my back last year, & it started hurting again around xmas, so went to dr., & now I am going to physical therapy for it, & yes, it's helping. But when I sew now, when my back gets tired, or starts aching, I quit. Just enjoy whatever time you do it, & do it when it works for you. I don't how some do it everyday, & some even seem to mass produce quilts. I am in no rush & thoroughly enjoy it when I spend time doing it...

Most times I sew about 5 days a week 4-6 pef day. There are times when I do not sew for a few days. Depends what is going on with and around me. I'm retired and making up for 38 years working a very full schedule. My mind needs a break also. With the cost of gas skyrocketing, driving(running around)& traveling have to be limited.
