A label question
The woman who LAQ'd my quilt has sent me a label for the quilt. Problem: I don't know what to do and she sent no instructions other than to be careful with the iron.
It's printed and readable (not backwards) Would that mean that I just need to sew it on?
So confused...

It's nice to have a label on quilts to remember specifics of who pieced, who quilted, name of quilt, when finished, any pertinent info.
To give an answer for what the LAQ intended would be assuming and we all know the hassards of that. So I agree, contact her and ask her what her intent is.

It's "mounted" onto a light colour fabric behind it. The label part is shiny. I knew that she was making a label for me but i have never met her. She is a friend of my Aunt's and the two of them live in different cities from me and each other.
Think I should call my Aunt who is also a quilter and ask her.
She did a fantastic job on my quilt and on the label. It's a quilt made of my dad's shirts and she even put his picture on the label. His memorial party is this Sunday so this is the last thing to finish the quilt!!
Thanks Ladies!!

Her mention of "beng careful with the iron" would make me think of two things ... is the fabric a polyester that would shrivel up with too hot an iron? and/or the thread she used for the embroidery (if that's what she did?), would it melt?
(both things that have happened to me with labels made by someone else, and not having been given full information)

It turned out beautifully! As it turns out, it was printed and she transfered it to the light fabric before sending it to me. I love what she did with all of it.
The photo of my Dad is him wearing the ONE shirt my Mom had put away to keep. He always looked great in that shirt and it was a favorite for many of us family members. Its wonderful to have "that" shirt on the label!!
So proud of this quilt and I hope to have someone get some good pictues of it on Sunday that I can post.
