I've been pondering what color for this for a while.
For my next quilt project, I'm planning a Log Cabin Quilt. Always wanted to make one, but never got around to doing one. I'm making the logs a mixture of browns (darks) and creams (lights), but here is my dilemma. I'm at a loss of what color to make the center square out of. I would like a center that more represents the 'hearth' , but I don't know what would be better, a soft yellow or a brownish orange, or a deep dark red, or soft red? Or, just go with black. I can't seem to make up my mind. I don't want the center 'hearth' square to look out of place or stand out too much, but I also don't want it 'hidden' away either. I guess I could say I want it to be strong, but not aggressive.
Any suggestions for the above colors or different color?
