I have the Juki 2010Q which is an updated model to the 98Q. I had been doing my quilting on a Pfaff 7570. When I got the Juki, I could not believe the improvement in my FMQ. The Juki is a fabulous machine if you don't mind it being straight stitch only. You can also buy a frame to put it on later as need and budget allows. I highly recommend Juki.

Thank you so much for the wonderful suggestions. I will definitely take all of them and do my research before purchasing a quilting machine.

Please keep up all the great tips you guys give us beginning quilters - and most of all, the wonderful encouragement.
