I really like the cables and they are well done! What is most important though is what you like.

I really love the cables - It makes your quilt come to life. I also love this quilt - the pattern, the fabric the colors! Great job.

Personally, in keeping with the pattern, I would quilt it in linear lines. Cables are "soft". You asked for honesty!
