Huge fan of an Irish Chain in greens. Would be beautiful. Another option might be Trip Around the World in greens.

You could do an Irish Chain and appliqué shamrocks in the open spaces.

Just what I would suggest! or if that is too much white, quilt a shamrock in the open space.

Many thanks Jane! I found 2 patterns to consider for our guild's challenge this year. What a wonderful link.

I love this quilt block. Easy to make but looks difficult. I used Creative Grids Pineapple Trim Ruler. I'm currently working on a throw size quilt. I have eight out of 12 blocks completed and started only 5 days ago.

The first picture is of a block made with the MINI pineapple ruler. The other two are made with the larger ruler.

I tried the link and failed to download the patterns because it wanted to download programs I did not want like Mcfee etc., I did not want on my computer. I hate 'hidden' programs buried this way. Sorry, I will get off my soapbox now; and use a different source, thank you, but no thank you.

I often start my students with a split rail because it comes together so quickly. You could do this with just three green/white prints (or use many different prints) and then applique a few big shamrocks on it. Maybe even add a pot o' gold in the lower corner!

Eleanor Burns has a single Irish chain done in green on a white background and a shamrock quilted in the solid white squares in green big stitch and SID on the nine patch squares. Beautiful quilt.

Yes! I am thinking this. I am gathering all the greens, creams and some red for the center, the colors of the Irish flag.
