Default Looking for quilting ideas

This quilt is a Moda Bakeshop free pattern called Sweet Menagerie. I am looking for idea for quilting the framed 9-patch blocks themselves. I have ideas for the sashing/borders. I don't want to do a Leah Day style filler, but rather a motif, flower or something. I searched Google and Pinterest, but only found a couple of similar quilts. Any ideas?

Cute top! I would look through Lori Kennedy's designs at www.theinboxjaunt.com/ look under the Tuesday Tutorial tab for a flower design and make it squarish to fit your block.

I usually go my own way on the hand quilting. I made a lap quilt a while back that I named "Iced Tea Anyone?" and I used the shapes of lemon slices, and pitchers for the quilting. I go online and find coloring pages for kids for the shapes that I want to do.

I see crosshatching but then I love to crosshatch most of the quilts that I can.

Yes Katier, that is the one I was thinking of. I might do the center less dense though with just a single circle or looser spiral for the center.

How dense are you going to quilt the sashings and borders?

Not too dense...wavy lines/swirls I think.

I think the link Tartan shared (thank you) of the square flower would really compliment this quilt.
