Guess I"m "tight" too. I subscribe to Quiltmaker and Fons and Porter... The rest I usually get off ebay or from some of the quilting forums I watch. You can usually get several for the regular price of one. The patterns and ideas don't change, so I still enjoy looking at them.

I love getting yummy quilting catalogs in the mail. Recently, I got a Yankee Candle catalog from my daughter and it was "scratch and sniff". Awesome.

I wonder, are there ways that quilting catalogs could be more interactive? Maybe they could include a couple swatches or a crossword puzzle. What do you think?

I've done that many times myself. :)

I think if any of the quilting shops sending out catalogs did this, they would definitely see their business go up. I love to order fabric, but am always unsure of the quality. Feeling might just make all the difference in the world.

When the "Keepsake Quilting" catalog comes in the mail, DH always hides it behind his back and presents it to me as if it were a special delivery (which it is - I love that catalog).
