Ohhhh you gals make me really laugh out loud.

I thought I was the only one who LOVED SEWING at home ALL ALONE!!!

When home alone I can sew without GUILTY feelings.

Yes, my DH hunts, but so do I! lol I did leave the woods early this year to see my daughter who is home from college. She wants to go Xmas shopping :) I can't really get into serious sewing time til after Thanksgiving. Then my DH bow hunts and I have my " big dinner of the year " outa the way..then I have all winter, til garden season starts.

I am also married to a deer hunter. It is a joy to be able to play in my sewing room all alone! I can cut, sew, quilt, or just look at magazines. Take a break and go for my daily walk, and come back and play some more. However, I have been noticing that he is coming in looking around for food, so I guess I had better start cooking more often. BUT come January he is mine and hopefully we can hit the road again. I miss our day trips.

I didn't get as much done this time as I have kinda been in funk or something don't want to do anything and jump from one thing to another never get anything completed.. Maybe I will get up and get moving this week.
Enjoy you quiet time..maybe something will inspire you to get at it again

My DH is a hunter or has been in the past. He likes to go and watch the deer more than hunt them. But he does like to do woodworking. So it's pretty much a win-win for me too!

I have been at my sewing table nonstop and will have all my Christmas projects completed way ahead of time. It is so nice to have the house to myself all day on the week-ends!!!! I can "do my thing" and not worry about breakfast, lunch or dinner. I secretly hope he doesn't get anything because i love the deer but i do respect his right as a hunter. Besides, he totally supports my quilting so it works out for us....he hunts, I shop fabric and quilt!
Do you "shop" for fabric, or do you "hunt" for fabric? He hunts deer; you hunt fabric!! Sounds like a great deal to me!!!
