I have been there and understand your frustration with it. I really think that there definitely is little leprachauns or some other little creatures tunning around taking those little things that most of us think we have lost. Of, course, if you have little children running around like I do sometimes it those little creatures that have abducted the missing items.LOL Hope you soon find it.

I once found my keys in the freezer compartment of the fridge. Have you looked there? LOL

I feel your pain. I am looking for lost things all the time. Sometimes they turn up where I had already looked for them.

I had a dustpan disappear once. I went back in the hall and grabbed the broom and dustpan and set the dustpan down next the kitchen doorway. I swept the dining room and kitchen and when I went to get the dustpan it was gone. We've moved 7 times since then and it's never reappeared. And it was one of the really good dustpans that are impossible to find anymore.

I think we've all been there. Usually I find whatever I'm missing in with some project I started and then set aside for a while. But I have so much stuff I could probably lose myself and no one would ever find me. Good luck finding your squares.

Your squares and Lori's rotary cutter are keeping company with the beaters for my stand mixer and the entire hand mixer, which disappeared in the last move. And I would never have known if DH hadn't asked for a birthday cake. The cake was OK, but beating buttercream frosting by hand is a real pain.

I was making a string pieced card trick pattern quilt. I was doing 4 blocks and each "card" was a different color way. I made all my pieces. I sat down to put the blocks together and came up one green triangle short. Could not find it anywhere. I asked the family, no one knew where it was. DH actually suggested I hadn't made them all. I made them in pairs! Well, i had to get it finished for a quilt show, so I finally made another one. The next laundry day I found it in my teenaged sons pocket. At least I found it...

It was part of a challenge thing at the show, I got viewers choice!
