I really love each step and pat myself after each completion.. every block, every straight seam, every binding. I love had sewing so I am a bit weird and love to bind. Besides that means it is done. Enjoy it.

I've found that when someone admires a quilt I've finished, I say "Oh, it was nothing. You'll really enjoy it!" My husband overheard me making this, or a similar comment. He asked me later, "Wasn't that the quilt you had to crawl around & around on the floor because you had to piece the border?" I replied witha shrug, still basking in the praise of a fellow quilter. So, I've decided quilting is like having a baby-a lot of suffering and pain at the beginningwhich is completely forgotten with the first "Ooooh! & Aaaaah!" star619

Sandwiching is my least favourite part, followed closely by marking. So now I set a full day aside, put on some happy music and have Indian or chinese food delivered. Sometimes I get several done in the one day, depending on the size.

I love picking the fabrics for a quilt, especially with some quilting friends along for the journey.
The borders and binding seem to really slow me down, right now I have 5 quilts that need the binding done.

I really like most of the work of quiltmaking. I bought a longarm a few years ago so I'd have to say that finishing quilts is my favorite part. I LOVE to finish customer quilts, too!
Least favorite part is watching my husband when he adds up my credit card bills for fabric, etc!
