Congratulations on finding a guild where you feel comfortable and at a time you can attend. It turns out my Dr. quilts and is in a local guild, so hopefully in the fall I can attend some meetings, as it's close to where I live. She has invited me to attend a meeting and I hope to be able to in the fall.

Thanks for the info but I think I'll stick to the one in Lincolnton. Don't want to overextend myself.

Oh my, I loved the guild that I was in. I was made to feel welcome and always learned more than my head could hold. Made some dear friends that I will always miss, since I have moved away now.

Happy for you! The guild I joined is about 10 times as big, but feels just as welcoming. It's been a wonderful experience.

So glad you found a group that works for you. I still go every Tuesday morning to my favorite quilt shop where I learned to quilt six years ago. Many of the women who started with me also still go. After so many years, we have become dear friends and learned so much from each other.
