I had been checking out long-arm machines for a while and was having a hard time justifying the cost. Well, this past weekend, DH and I stopped by one of our local Jo-Ann's to speak to the manager of the Viking Gallery, with whom I have had many transactions, about the 5D software.

While there, I asked about the holiday deals I had seen advertised and was thrilled to find out that the stores were selling off all their Mega Quilter 18.8 floor models, along with the Q-Bot systems.

I was able to get the complete set-up for a little over half of what I had seen elsewhere. Sure, I would have loved one of the new software packages, but $1700 for the Q-Bot versus $6000 for the Quilt Artist made it an easy decision :-) Plus, I still get the full warranty

Thanks - DH is somewhat of an enabler, lol. I think he figured this was as good a deal as we were going to get.

I'm amazed DH can still get through the door of our house, since he is always being told how wonderful he is, lol. The ladies at the barn love him because he helps me so much with my horses :-)
