I have 3 healthy sons and am forever grateful!!
However, my Mom didn't get her wish " I hope you have a daughter just like you when you grow up") ( when I was being bratty hahaha)

Congratulations on your new addition. What wonderful children you have. They really tuned into what Mom wanted! If you have blue on the medallion it is likely a Centennial. The other
Centennial that I know of was from Texas State Fair. That would have a band of Red on the medallion and it does say State Fair of Texas.

I found a wonderful book with so much information. Its written by Nancy Johnson-Srebro "Featherweight 221 The Perfect Portable and Its Stitches Across History."

I couldn't stop with one and now have five in my sewing room. They travel well and are used alot! Probably more than my Bernina!! They are sooo sweet and a good machine. Congratulations! Enjoy using it.

You are so lucky. I dream of finding a Featherweight someday. We are so short on good thrift shops. Where do you live?

Here, you never see one in a thrift shop. Everyone knows how desireable they are now. I asked at one shop and she said she didn't know what she would do if one was donated but thought she'd put it on e-bay.I found one at my Janome store and am going to look at it today. I hope it's nice because then I'll know it's in mechanically good shape.
