I didn't have to go that "far." I was digging through my stash and found this set of 6 valentine prints. Hmmm, Wonder what I had planned to do with that? Well, I know what I'll do now.

Those are probably from when I taught a beginner's sewing class at Hancock. I used to shop before leaving everytime. What I miss the most since they closed are the St. Jude fabrics. I have to travel farther to get some of those, so I don't do that too much anymore.

Anyway, I'm ready for the Valentine Exchange. I've even got a surprise.

I just bought some awesome burgundy roses fabric. Will this be okay for the Valentine exchange or do you only want true red???

    Thanks for clarifying,

Also, are they supposed to be bought as FQ's or can I buy a yard and cut a FQ off? Sorry if this was already asked.

I'm wondering how I would know how you bought it? Is there a secret that I haven't learned?

As long as it's a fat quarter 18 inches X 21 inches, you can cut your own, or purchase pre cut ones. :)

Well, it wouldn't have a sticker on it, silly. I guess I could make my own label of some sort. Anyway, I guess that answers my question.

Bought my five FQ today before the big storm hits tomarrow. Of course they run toward 'pink'.

I sent you a PM last week. Did you get it. This sounds like a fun exchange.

    Shadow,
I still need clarification on this...I think my question got lost in the shuffle of definition of "true" fat quarter.
    Thanks

Roses are good for Valentines. :) Valentines is represented by most shades of red, so your fabric is great. :)

Every PM was received and names added to the list. :)

I know I thought I saw somewhere 18 x 22 so i guess for this I will go with this measurement.

I would love to be on the receiving end of those burgundy roses.
My opinion is that burgundy combined with pink make a lovely Valentine.

MsSage, it depends on the width of the fabric, some fabrics are 42", some are 44". :)

Sorry about the side track MJ...I was thinking that if it was a problem...I'd take them for the swap...I'm a girl that has never turned down roses (of any color) for V-day!
