I like to frequent Baron's Fabrics here in Camarillo less than a mile away, they also carry Bernina's so can get my machine service there. Also, Quilt Ventura, in Ventura, Quilters Studio in Newbury Park and Cotton and Chocolate in Thousand Oaks. I feel that all 4 shops have really friendly people that I like to talk to.

The Quilt Place, Rockledge, FL and Boutique for Quilters, Melbourne, FL. I also like Dragonfly in Vero Beach, but don't get there very often. When I'm visiting the kids, I like to check out Patchwork Pig in Lakeland, FL.

Unfortunately my favorite LQS aren't all that local for me. I love "A Notion to Quilt" in Shelburne Falls MA - 50 miles from me. "Keepsake Quilting" in Meredith NH Um not sure how far, it is 4 hours drive and "Gloversville Sewing Center" in Gloversville NY also about 50 miles from me. I'm not crazy about the selections at the closer shops.

I know your neck of the woods. I spent my high school years in Brevard County. Unfortunately Florida and I do not get along. I was glad to leave there as soon as I was old enough to move away from home. Too flat, too buggy and to darn humid for me. No matter where I live, I have to see mountains.

In Tucson, AZ, Bella Quilts Quilter's Market and Quilter's Basket are the three I frequent.

Bella in Spanish translates to "Beautiful or Beauty"... great name, and good pic Azdesertrat!

Country Dumplings in Cimarron Kansas and Prairie Flower Quilt Co. in Leoti Kansas are two of my top favorites for local shops. I consider anything within about 2.5 hours local.

One of my favorites when I go pick up my granddaughter is Needle in a Haystack at Severy Kansas.

There are a few around here, mostly in Nebraska. Quilted Moose is in Gretna, NE. This is my mom's fav. They have tons of fabrics and the staff is helpful. Country Sampler is in Omaha and LaVista. Great selectons, fun classes, and helpful staff. Sunshine Stitches in Omaha. They just moved to a larger location that I have yet to see. The owner is Monica and she is very nice /helpful. I had the pleasure of taking a class from her. Knowing I am disabled, she did all my pressing and when doing a demo she made sure that I was able to see and even would do one special for me. She is awesome!! Has to be my fav place. Another great one is Seams-To-Be in Plattsmouth. Located ina small town with reasonable prices. It has tons of fabrics and patterns, not many notions. Leaves more room for the good stuff. The only shop in Council Bluffs is Kainesville quilting. Nice shop, not very big. The staff however is very helpful. I don't go often because I usually don't have the money, But when I do..they and Sunshine Stitches has my money.

My LQS is located in a small town called Waterford, and its housed in an old train station. That is why its called quilt junction. I took my first class there, and they got me hooked! I also go to Lens mill store...2 locations within 1/2 hour from me. On a rare occasion I will go to Mary Maxim in Paris Ontario.
