How about making some book covers. They are relatively easy and can be made with fabric from your stash.

Pam, you might want to read the post about these potato bags. I've already bought my fabric and Warm Tater batting, but after everyone's post on here about them catching on fire...thinking I'll pass on this idea!

I'm right behind you on being a procrastinator. Goggle, Fabric Bowl. The ones I've been making is on Geta's Quilting Studio website. There's a tutorial too. I'm starting on my 2nd one this morning. Can make it in a 1 1/2 days or less. Easy and reversible too!

Remember potato bags are to keep the potato warm after they have been cooked in microwave. They catch on FIRE!!!

Somany wonderful ideas! I especially love ludlow quilt and sew's scissor pouch, Jo M's 1 yard 1 hour tote bag, and deedum's bread basket liner. I am definitely adding these to my quick gift list!

Dry out the two halves and let sit a bit untill fully dry. Fold up a fat quarter of water fabric and put it into the water bottle. Put the top half of the water bottle back together and seal the slit with strong tape. Carefully place the original label back on the bottle and glue it along the seam. They will wonder how you got it in there with the water bottle seal still intact and they have a great piece of fabric to add to their stash.

I just made cupcake pot holders for 9 gifts...went pretty quick and made them from quilting scraps which took the cost down. If you want to see photos let me know. I can text it to you or send via email.
