Here's a link to a very pretty, simple and quick tablerunner. I made one in no time and used scraps of Christmas fabric I had. http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art4955.asp

Here's a picture of mine.

I made pot holders with matching quilted trivets....very quick, very strait line sewing...machine work all the way...
my family have gotten something like this since I started quilting and now they expect them.

I don't know if anyone already posted this, it is a last minute post -- lol! Cute napkins, I saw them at a recent sew event.

10 minute table runner! The napkins mentioned above are a cute, quick gift also.

I think the water bottle with fabric inside is a great gift. I love it. Thanks for sharing this on the board.

The panels are lovely and with a border of a coordinated fabric would make a nice table topper or lap throw. Maybe put polar fleece on the back of the lap throw so no batting needed and it would be warm and soft.

Oh my, looking at all of your suggestions, I want to start making them right now, but I made pillowcases this year and I'm done. This will be so nice to make a packet, for next years gifts. Thanks to you all for your ideas.
