Default Need Quilting ideas

I just finished this quilt top for my grandson and I need some help with ideas on how to quilt it. I do have a HQ16 quilting machine and a domestic machine with wide harp space so I could use either. I am not very experienced on the HQ16 so it can't be too challenging. Lol The narrow borders might need stitch in the ditch but I'm not sure of that either. This is a full size quilt. Input from you talented quilters will be appreciated.

I would SITD around the center panel and then stitch to outline the pictures in it. I worked then SITD the next border on the straight lines to keep them straight. I would follow the waves in the wavy fabric border. I would then SITD the other borders on all the stitching lines. I would then go back and add quilting to the bigger shapes in the borders. I would outline the designs in the circles. The top has a lot of interest in it so you don't need elaborate quilting in my opinion. Great top!

That is beautiful! I would stitch in the ditch, outline the central theme(sorry, can't tell what it is) and maybe do a tight McTavish around it, to make the theme pop out. Again, it is beautiful.

I would have said exactly the same as Tartan! You did a beautiful job on the quilt!! Jump in and use that Sweet Sixteen- I have just started using mine more and feel much more comfortable than the domestic machine quilting now.

I am a very linear person and this quilt screams at me with it's wonderful lines. I agree with doing STID around most of it. I would probably do some sort of echo quilting in the centerpiece and corners. Perhaps something circular in the corners than you can mimic a smaller version in the small diamonds along the border area. This is an absolutely outstanding quilt. I'm sure he with love and treasure it.

Although I have no idea on quilting besides SITD, I would just like to say that it's an absolutely beautiful quilt.
