I too thought the green was the background you were hanging on. If size isn't an issue I would take the green off, I know it is in the quilt but maybe use it for binding?

It's a beautiful quilt. The mossy green in the center is a nice contrast but I'm not crazy about it as a border. I think if you removed the green border and left it like that it would be perfect. Or if you wanted to replace the green border with something else, I think if you could find something a similar color to the darkest blue would be lovely.

The blue in the outer border is a warm blue whereas the blues in the center are cooler. Likewise with the yellow - it is too bright for the slightly greyed out version in the center. It is beautiful though. You did a great job. Lucky it's just the outher border that is giving you grief, huh?
