I think I'd look for some "sand'" and sea grass fabric. Maybe like your pink but in sandy colors

I prefer the one on the right, especially if you can keep the lines directionally correct.

I like the pink one best. Actually, it looks almost red to me, but whatever it is, I like it much better than the yellow.

Ok maybe I missed something

but I would use the yellow, then I would find a really bright hawaiian print to border it with that includes the yellow and colors from the white blocks

But I tend to go outside the box.
