I have a Babylock Jane. It is not a simple machine to thread like a Brother. Its like a step backwards in time. They are not the same at all.
I have two Brothers and a small 4in embroidery Brother that is great except I want a bigger embroidery area. Ive made some good embroidery with it but do want a larger field now.

Actually, the Babylock Jane IS the same machine as the BrotherPQ1500s, right down to the pin feed and threading path. It is different than other models made by Brother because it and the PQ1500s are meant to be straight stitch only machines.

no better working horse than Brother PQ1500.......I wouldn,t live without it...
No fency stitches but FMQ and 9" space in the throat...I do have it for many years now and really LOVE it...never had any problems.....you just cannot go wrong with this machine unless you need the free arm and decorative stitches
