If you watch on ebay, you can get some great deals on rotary cutters/blades. I got the large 60mm ergonomic cutter and several packages of blades for around $20. I think I would have paid at least that for the cutter

When I may have some extra spending money I'll troll EBay and get a great deal on blades so my reserve is nice and I don't worry about changing them. I keep the "old" ones and use for paper and other cutting, works like a charm.

I have blades on hand - I got all the ones that I had given to my Mom before she died - now why didn't she use them up???

I also have purchased some on e-bay.

I just keep thinking I can get a few more cuts out of the old dull one.

Make sure you only put one new blade in. I heard of someone that put two new blades in and had a problem. I changed mine last weekend and sure enough when I pulled a blade out of the package there were two stuck together.

Oh yeah I've done that too... where 2 blades are stuck together. Sure cuts funky!

I have found if you turn the blade over it will extend the life of the blade some.

I know what you mean, changed mine recently and am afraid to think how long the last one had been used

Take it apart, clean any junk out of the inside, turn the blade over, see if it works better. I've been know to pick up two blade from one of those 5 pk containers and insert both blade in without realizing it. Sure doesn't cut very good.
