How did you repair the connection point on the rails?

I have the Original Grace Frame. I have had it for so many years and I bought it used. Just recently I began having a problem with it "warping" and so the machine will not sit correctly on the frame. It has been down now for close to a year. I am not sure it is worth repairing and Grace Co. no longer carries parts for this machine. It has served me well over the last 10+ years. My machine went down about 6 months ago and I need to have it repaired again it is the Brothers 1500 series. The stitch regulator went out about 11/2 yrs ago but I could still move a quilt pretty evenly. The cost for a new stitch regular was out of this world compared to what I paid for it originally. It is a good starter system but it is time to move forward.

Hi Dollyo - I recently purchased the NG frame from the original owner - one of the tracks was cracked, causing the carriage to get stuck at that spot. I tried using the 1/4" stainless steel rods as mentioned, but am finding that the carriage does not glide as easily as it did on the original track. Do you have any words of wisdom or suggestions? I realize that your original post was from several years ago, and you might not even have this frame anymore, but I thought I'd ask anyway. Thank you for any assistance! Dawn
