Smile No need for JoAnns anymore.

Working on a quilt and decided I need bias strips. Good, found fab that coor w/quilt. No need for JoAnns.
What about thread for quilting. Yes Yes have a full spool of thread. No need for JoAnns.
Ready to sandwhich. There's more than enough batting in my stash. No need for JoAnns.
Hmm..so far so good. Now how about backing. Digging digging...there THEY are three hunks of fab to choose from. No need for JoAnns.

Ya need somethin? Come on over to Julie's. Maybe I'll change my name to JoAnn!

Haven't been to JoAnns in three weeks. Used to go every Sunday to shop and just for fun. Girls probably think something bad happened. Nope...my house is like their store. No I lied. Their store is tidy and organized. I'm a quilter. I rest my case.

Sounds like shopping in your own supplies has worked out for you. Do consider an upgrade in your home shops name ... Jo'anns is not quite fitting ( LOL ) !
Back in the day before stores were open on Sunday's ... it was amazing the improvising that took place so you could keep going .

The problem with going out to get something is that I usually come home with more than I meant to get.

Julie, I must say that I commend you on you're resolve to find what you need within your home. I've been pretty much begging Brownie to go to JoAnns or Hancock so I could find some appropriate trim for his new "man" pillowcase I made him for Fathers day. But without success, I have to take him with me so he can limit my purchasing of items. I have no control, I love everything and if I could I would by 5 yards of everything just in case.

Miss seeing you at JA on Sundays - now I have to go all by myself. Although I've been very controlled and just look for the most part.

I've been doing the same thing recently.

DH is amazed at how much money I've SAVED when I give him the debit receipt from Joann's. It took him a long time to realize that everything is always on sale at Joann's and that you can't use your 40% off coupon on non-sale items because there are none! ugh

Now I try to only go to Joann's to buy remnants for my stash, unless I NEED something...oh, BTW, DH...the light bulb blew out today on my sewing machine...you know, the machine I just paid over $100 to have serviced? Oh, well, Joann's might have it, but they also might have some really good remnants on Monday mornings!
