I used the papertowel tube and had a scrap of fabric around my neck! It was GREAT! Finished in no time and when I answered the door it came off and laid near my quilt! Easy on and off!

I saw that tip on either Sewing with Nancy or on Fons & Porter. Good idea :) I think I have a roll in one of my bathrooms that's just about empty.........Hmmmmmm

Also use the TP rolls to store leftover binding. It keeps it pressed and neat and it's easy to use several scraps to bind a scrap quilt or a baby quilt. Just store them in a shallow plastic basket so you can see what you have when you need some.

i use tp or paper towel roll and then place it on a free standing paper towel holder. it can sit on my table or on the floor next to me. very handy, no tangles and no fancy tubes round my neck.

I use a large country wooden bobbin that has a hole through the center. I am not sure what the "old" use of it was. It has metal wrapped around one end. I made a strap for it to go around my neck that goes through the hole. It just unwinds as you need it.

I really like the idea of the tp roll around the neck. Seems like it would be coming from just the right angle. And less likely to be pounced on by one of my cats.

What a great idea! I also like the idea that storing the left over binding and using it on a scrap quilt.
Thanks for posting.
