Default Novice Quilter

I have been enjoying the wealth of knowledge of all of the expert quilters on this board but I was wondering if there are other beginners like myself.

I am sure there are. I was a beginner four years ago and I learned sooooo much from these quilters. I asked many many dumb questions, and no one ever said they were dumb. I am sure other beginners will "speak at ya" soon!

Hi Mateoh
I'm a beginner and have received great help on this board for what are very simple (!) problems. I've made a few tops but haven't actually quilted them yet so I'm sure I'll be here asking for more help and suggestions. There is so much inspiration here too!

I have been making quilts for well over 50 years and still learn from all of these smart ladies. Things have changed so much over the years its hard to keep up with all the new things.

I have been quilting for 20 years, and I love trying new things as I read techniques from the board members.

Welcome from Northern California. There are a lot of newbies or people who consider themselves newbies here. Look forward to seeing something that you do. BrendaK

Whether you learn from other quilters on this board, take classes, or read magazines and books, you will develop your own piecing strategies and find your preferences as you go.

Even though I have been quilting for more than a decade, every time I tackle a new block or pattern, it seems like at some point, I'm back to being a beginner--at least for a little while. Just know that as your skills grow, so will your confidence and the addiction to this craft.

Enjoy every moment!

Welcome to the board and I know there are many newbies, some may be more shy. I cannot say I am a newbie quilter but some days sure feel like it. The board is great help and encouragement.
