I learned to sew on a machine just like that. Green and all. I wish my mother hadn't traded it in.

I love helping people discover the wonder of old machines that are still working well...

Well, when songs from the '80's are getting on to "oldies" stations, yeah, a '50's machine is old. But so what? As my dad used to say - it beats the alternative!

That is one handsome machine old or not.
If things from the 70's are vintage, and I question that, then my kids are vintage. Gee what does that make me-- ancient or just old??? He He Maybe just "antique". then I'll fit right in with most of my furnature!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...I love Vintage sewing machines and never refer to them as old, only as Vintage.

She may be old but she's still a beauty - and I'm sure she can still sew a beautiful seam. Kinda like "cutting the rug". Now who does that anymore!
