One-fourth sashing?
#11
It sounds wonderful, but I found out it wasn't for me in the quilt I did. It was only a lap size, but my cup of tea. What I did was to cut 1" strips, folded them in half and then sewed the raw edges in. That left me with 1/4" of color. I left mine loose, but you could stitch the loose side down with matching thread. I would suggest getting long scraps and trying your skill with the 3/4" before attempting on the good piece. Let us know how it turns out! Sounds interesting.

1/4" finished is used a lot in bargello as "fracture" lines in between each color strip. Recommend alternate sewing directions for each side of the strip. I personally like the look, looks like piping.
