To GingerK You know, that's a good point. I actually thought that was going to look weird. Now, for the problem, I don't have any fabric left. How would it be if I just made the whole thing shorter and used some of those strips to stagger? For example, if I cut some of the strips in thirds, I could stagger them with the 2 regularly sized strips.
(45" 15" 45")
(15, 45, 45)
(45, 45, 15)

Something like that?

It's my understanding that you cut 18" off the first strip once in the beginning.
