Thanks for all the suggestions. I will play around with the borders tonight and tomorrow night to see how the different combinations will work. I really appreciate all of you.

I think I would use the Black fabric from the quilt to make a 3 or 4 or 5 inch border.

I'd do a 1" or 1 1/2" black border to contain all that color, then a wider one of your favorite quilt fabric - I like the darkest one - then a black binding.

I'd go with a light inner and a black outer border. It has enough orange imo. Looking good!

I vote for the border.

I think a narrow white border would look great.

My first thought was a black border and a white border (to balance all the orange in the top). Not sure what order I would put them in - I would audition them on both sides to see which one frames better. I'm thinking that a black border would stop the eye too much and make an outer border of white seem odd (also, white on the very outside would get dirty fast). So probably an inner border of white and then an outer border of black - both fairly narrow.

I vote for borders. Your quilts are very nice.

I agree with QuiltnNan, a thin black border then follow up with a orange.
