I would match a blue and white in the borders, only narrow pieces.

I don't think it's the blue so much as the gray that dulls it or something to me. The colors in the middle part of the Star just don't complement each other or go Wow or anything. Audition other colors there & see if that makes a difference. It's going to be a Awesome quilt when you get colors right!!

The blue will probably be fine, but add some as a border to tie it with the center. If you don't want to do that, you could do a flange or simply bind it in the blue. I think more is better in this case.

I think the blue overpowers and draws the eye too much. I would go with a softer blue.

I also agree. The print is too busy and the blue is not quite the same value. The other colors are great, just audition another blue for the center.
