Out of print quilting books

I was thinking the same thing. How they can get away with distributing copyrighted books without running into DRM (digital rights management) issues and legal challenges is a mystery. Even non-profit public libraries have to pay for their e-books.

I asked the librarian this morning about the site. She said it was legal. Donations more then pay for the E book rights or they wouldn't have the website.

I use the Kindle app on the Mac, as it has an excellent retina screen. It saves money over a paper book, but I find the scrolling to be really annoying and somewhat sickening compared to just flipping pages forward and backward. My thumb joints do too much digitally as it is.

A simple internet search of “what is b-ok.org” brings up quite a bit of information on the legality and safety of using the site.

Did you look at the picture you posted? It says "Remove b-ok.org (Virus Removal Instructions)" and includes terms such as "browser hijacker" and "delivering suspicious links".

This only works for as long as your computer has A-space available, B- does not change formatting and is still supported, (like the windows 10). Also it has to specifically state that you can print it or it is illegal to do so! and NO, I am not a fan of Ebooks of any kind!

I love my purchased and free e-books/patterns for quilting. I do print them on occasion but the publishers are ok with printing for personal use. I never thought to look for quilting books on my county’s library site.
