Well, the quilt is 8 blocks by 8 blocks, so if you cut each block 6.5", the finished quilt would be 48 X 48. If you cut each block 8.5", (to finish at 8" ) the finished quilt would be 64 X 64. It all depends on how big you want your lap quilt to be.

I think "thinking outside the block" is super easy. The cutting takes the most time but it is just strips and a two sided log cabin. pattern is at www.toadusew.com

Can't get the patterns to print off this site .It comes up as under copy right and won't let me print .Has anyone eles had a problem with this?
No, I never have - I've both printed off, and also saved, patterns from this site. Don't know what the problem is..... :|
I got the pattern/instructions for a Carpenter's Wheel at: http://www.quiltfrog.com/fourhour.html

Although it said it would take 4 hours, I took MUCH longer, but then again, I am a new quilter. But the time was neither here nor there - I think I now have a lovely (and easily made) quilt to give as a gift. Hope this helps.

Is that even possible?

Thank you for your time.
the easiest quilt I have ever done is the "Warm Wishes" quilt. If you do a search on this site you will find sample pictures and the pattern link. It is so easy and yet it has many looks depending on the prints you use and even how you look at the quilt. It changes before my eyes everytime I look at it.

WOW! Thanks for all of your ideas. Not sure if anyone mentioned Missouri Star quilts on You Tube.

Hugs to all.

I had the same problem when I tried to print using the place at the bottom of the pattern but I used the print icon on my comp. at the top and it printed.

I'm going to give this one a try. I think I'll cut 8.5" blocks, to try for 64x64" size.

Thanks for the help!!

I have to tell you, I absolutely love your interpretation of "Warm Wishes". It is so unique......I have never used the Warm Wishes pattern, but am needing to make a quick quilt, so I am going to use your layout style of warm wishes - it really is a lovely version. Kudos to you!!!!
