Is it worth it to fix the machine with such a high price? My Pfaff 7510 comes up with "internal error" when I power up and I can not select the different length or wide of the stitches.
Got 2 estimates - they don't even open up your machine to see what's wrong. They say it is the lower main board that has gone bad. Estimate to repair run over $500 board including labor. Is it worth fixing?
Anyone have this model or issue with their machine?

But Brother machine are made in China - cheap quality, isn't it? Which model do you suggest? Consumer Reports rated the Runway Project NS-40 - I tried it - my friend who is a pretty good expert on sewing machines say that is not for me b/c it is not the same caliber as the Pfaff.

My Pfaff mother board went out twice in 2 years. Just can't keep spending that money and waiting 2-3 months to get it back. All our dealings with the local and corporate people were a waste of time. I have a Brother Project runway PC 420. My husband did lots of research and we have been very happy with it so far. Love being able to set a speed and do my FM. I can't say if the Pfaff is better quality but if it is always in the shop it does me no good.
